The Women's Caucus for Art, founded in 1972 in connection with the College Art Association (CAA), is a national member organization unique in its multi-disciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students, educators, and museum professionals. The national organization has chapters located throughout the country.

Arts Organizations
ArtTable, Inc. is a national membership organization for women in the visual arts. ArtTable’s purpose is to increase the effectiveness, visibility and diversity of women in the field. Through activities and initiatives, ArtTable is dedicated to: supporting women in the visual arts at all stages of their careers; documenting outstanding achievements by women past and present; increasing opportunities for women; and in so doing, enriching the nation’s cultural life.
ArtTable has four chapters located in New York, Northern California, Southern California and Washington DC, as well as Regional Alliances in New England, Northwest, Southwest, and Texas.
The National Association of Women Artists, founded in 1889, is the oldest professional women's fine art organization in the United States. It is a forum for women artists to share ideas and to exhibit their work. Through its exhibitions, programs, and archive N.A.W.A. fosters awareness of the monumental contribution of women to the history of American art. The organization is inclusive and serves professional women artists of all backgrounds and traditions.
The N.A.W.A. Permanent Collection is at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the N.A.W.A. collection contains the work of artists dating from the organization's early days to the present.
Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts delivers legal services and information to over 10,000 members of the arts community each year. VLA plays an important role in educating individual artists, arts professionals within arts and cultural institutions, attorneys, students and the general public about legal and business issues that affect artistic and creative endeavors.
From its inception, VLA has played an important role as an advocate on behalf of the arts community in different ways, ranging from participation in litigation, making public statements about matters of interest to the arts community, and making recommendations about pending legislation.
