Opportunities for Artists
Since 2003, TheArtList.com has been the leading online resource for visual artists and photographers looking for income and exhibition opportunities to enter. Unlike other static email lists or opportunity newsletters, our submissions database is continually being updated with high quality listings. We also offer a digest of featured art calls and opportunity announcements in our monthly newsletters.
You can visit the website for free, and access the opportunities database, get the monthly newsletter, and do basic searches. A subscription of $15/year adds advanced search features, access to contact information, and links to the venue offering the opportunity.
A number of opportunity listings are available for free if you visit this website.
However, if you subscribe you get a well populated catalog of art contests and competitions,
art jobs and internships, art scholarships and grants and fellowships, art festivals,
call for entries/proposals/projects, and other opportunities. Because the opportunities
are for artists working in all disciplines, for art students, art teachers, and artists
of all ages, you need quantity in the list if you’re going to find opportunities
that fit an individual artist. The Art Deadlines List gives you that quantity. This
was formerly a print publication, but is now available online. A $24 subscription
gives you one-year of access to the database available 24 hours a day. You can
now use a Google-like search to find the announcements that fit your work.
Art Opportunities Monthly (AOM) is a carefully screened art opportunities list for traditional and contemporary artists working in any visual art medium. It is for those working in any style or geographic location and is available as a PDF by email.
Three level of subscriptions are available. A personal version costs only $20/year, an institutional version, for schools, art centers, libraries, museums, etc. is 25/year, and a license (Required if you reproduce any part of AOM, for resale or not.) is $3500/year.
